THE EVERGREEN OREGON OPEN
SQUASH CHAMPIONSHIPS

presented by
WEST COAST BANK

Come watch the world's best play in
Portland, Oregon

February 17th - February 23rd, 2008

Welcome to Portland, Oregon!

World class Professional Squash returned to Oregon in 2007 and the event was a huge success. Great crowds, incredible squash, excellent local business support and best of all: nearly $10,000 was raised for local charity. To view our 2007 tournament results and information, click here.

Join Evergreen Aviation Museum and West Coast Bank when the Oregon Open returns to Portland Feb. 17- 23, 2008.

We have some exciting enhancements to the event this year, which should make it a great experience for all:

We have raised the prize money for the event to $50,000. As a result we are anticipating that a majority of the top 30 players in the world will be here to play.

The Oregon Open is one of the five major World PSA Tour Events in the Players Cup Squash Circuit, being held in January and February. The event will be held at the Multnomah Athletic Club (MAC) again, on a brand new Championship Court just installed in December. All charity benefits will go to the Association for retarded citizens (Arc), which provides critical services for many severely disadvantaged families and individuals in our community.

Portland and MAC’s own Julian Illingworth will be here. A recent Yale University graduate, Julian is the three-time US champion and is currently ranked #46 in the world, the highest ranking ever by any American player. We will have a fun junior exhibition event immediately preceding the final of the Oregon Open and a well-known Portland based creative entertainment group will expand upon the use of a squash court!

The Rose City Classic Adult and Rosebud Junior Squash Tournament, the premier spring amateur squash tournament in Oregon, will be held in conjunction with the Oregon Open. We believe this combined event will not only provide a wonderful opportunity to view competitive squash at a premier level, but also promote the game of squash in the Portland area.

Last year generated unprecedented interest for the Championship. Get in on the action and discover that watching world class squash is an exciting and thrilling experience for all. As many of our sponsors learned last year, this event is a memorable way to entertain business clients and friends in a relaxed, comfortable environment during the Oregon winter.

The hospitality throughout the tournament will be first-rate, including a Sponsor and Player Party and an Award Dinner Party on Saturday, at the MAC.

We need your help!

Your sponsorships and donations will make it happen. Please look at our sponsorship packages and ticket packages available.

With your help we will make the 2008 Evergreen Oregon Open Squash Championship a success, and we sincerely hope you are up to the challenge.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Rose City!

Sincerely,

The Tournament Organizing Committee
