2008 OREGON OPEN PSA SQUASH CHAMPIONSHIPS

It has been over 10 years since Oregon last hosted a sanctioned Professional Squash Association (“PSA”) event. With your help that is about to change. Thanks to the initial support from West Coast Bank and the Oregon Squash Racquet Association, the PSA has committed to bring the world’s best players to Portland the week of February 17th for the second annual 2008 Oregon Open PSA Squash Championship, to be held at the Multnomah Athletic Club (“MAC”) in Portland, Oregon. This event will include MAC’s own 2 time US National Squash Champion, Julian Illingworth, a recent Yale University graduate who turned professional early this year.

The Rose City Classic Adult and Rosebud Junior Squash Tournament, the premier spring amateur squash tournament in Oregon, will be held in conjunction with the Oregon Open PSA event. We anticipate strong crowds and unprecedented interest for this event. As some of you have experienced, watching world class squash is a thrilling experience for all, and particularly so for the juniors. We believe this combined event will not only provide a wonderful opportunity to view competitive squash at a premier level, but also to promote the game of squash in the Portland area.

Proceeds from the Oregon Open will support a very valuable non-profit charitable organization:

1. The Association for Retarded Citizens (“ARC”), an extremely important group which provides critical services for many severely disadvantaged families and individuals in our community.

This event will be at least a $50,000 PSA Tournament, which will attract many of the world’s top players.

Our vision for funding the event is two-fold:

1. Raise funds through sponsorships & donations from companies and individuals such as yourself.
2. Secure matching grants (up to a specified level) from companies or foundations.

We sincerely hope you will present this opportunity to businesses and foundations where you might be involved in some way (and plan it in the 2008 budget), as well as consider one of the packages on a personal level. Attached you will find a description of the flexible sponsorship/patron packages available and a PSA promotional piece describing the world squash community at large.

With your help, we will make the 2008 Oregon Open PSA Squash Championship a success.
The hospitality throughout the tournament will be first-rate, including a Sponsor, Patron and Player Party at Saucebox on Tuesday, February 19th, 2008, and an Award Dinner Party on Saturday, February 23rd, 2008, at the MAC.
